About Us

The firm of JR Buckett & Sons was started in 1881 by the present senior director's Great Grandfather. The family firm was built up by Mr EAJ Buckett and the late Mr RH Buckett during the 1950's and 60's to one of the biggest family building firms on the Island.

The firm was incorporated in October 2000 with Directors being Mr GE Buckett and Mr CC Hibberd.

The firm carry out all aspects of work within the building trade, but specialise in the restoration and conversion of period buildings and the building of new quality homes. We usually have new properties or barn conversions for sale.

JR Buckett & Sons Ltd has its own joinery workshop and manufacture quality purpose made joinery including window frames, doors and staircases, etc. We will be pleased to quote for any joinery items.

We have an enviable reputation for producing quality work, clients include many Public Authorities: The National Trust, The Portsmouth Diocesan Parsonage Board and English Heritage.

The firm has been a Member of The National House Building Council since 1958 and is also a member of both The Federation of Master Builders and the National Federation of Builders.

We undertake work all over the Island and will be pleased to quote for any building work. We also offer a design and build service for new properties, alterations or extensions.
